There are recording sheets for each level or a black and white copy to use
Each group then compare answers and discusses if they have something different
This encourages negotiation and checking reasonableness of answers
This pack contains sets for
Two digits – pink
Three digits - orange
Four digits – green. This has two sets – one for numerals with and one without commas
Five digits – blue. This has two sets – one for numerals with and one without commas
Note – There are sets to use with both commas and no commas. In Australia we do not use the comma in numerals above 999. We use a small space. Europe does not either. In 2024 the decimal point will be replaced with the comma. So to remove the comma now allows for no confusion when reading large numbers with decimal places. Our petrol bowsers and many packaged food items are already using the comma as a decimal point.
